In this scene, on folio 10 recto, we see a hill or mountain (tepetl) with a coiled snake (coatl), hence the place name Coatepec. Growing on the hill are a maguey plant and a nopal. The hill is outlined in black ink and has brown and green water colors. The vegetation is green. The coiled snake is green with a thick black stripe. [SW]
