In this scene, on folio 8 verso, we are shown a place called Yztacmetitlan, where there are three metl (or, in Spanish magueyes, agave plants) on level land. Two lines of text appear at the top of the page. [SW]

English Translation

[f. 8v., Nahuatl-to-English translation by Stephanie Wood:] At Iztacmetitlan there are 100 cords [mecatl in Nahuatl; mecates in Spanish] of land planted in magueyes.
