In this detail, we see a tree outlined in black, the foliage stippled with black ink, and the entire tree painted a green. One extra branch comes out of the side of the tree, extending toward the binding. The roots of the tree are visible above the ground, although they extend into the hill (or mountain). They are largely left unpainted, although two of them are green. [SW]
