This text explains that this manuscript is showing the territory (lands as they stretch out) of the inhabitants of the community, given to them eternally by the king (of Spain). In the end, this is also the land of the venerable father (i.e. St. Michael). The text also makes reference to the palace at Teocaltitlan. Everything pertaining to the town is registered in the book of the town. This multiple page text all appears to be in the same hand, and the ink is a brown color. [SW]
