This text refers to the noblewomen, doña María and doña Angelina, presumably sisters of the great lord don Melchor Moteuczoma, given that his brothers appear on the opposite page. Here we have the darker ink and different hand that is sometimes seen but does not coincide with the principal texts of this manuscript. [SW]

English Translation

[f. 20v., Nahuatl-to-English translation by Stephanie Wood:] The noblewomen, doña María [and] doña Angelina. They are venerable residents here at Coaxochco. [Note: The proximity of these women to the men on the facing page may suggest that they are sisters of don Melchor Moteuczoma.]
