This is an example of the six houses that appear as symbolic of a larger community that comprises the altepetl (town). The building, outlined in black ink, has three dimensions, with shading on the wall to our right. The walls are painted gray, with a darker color on the right-hand wall. The door is apparently open, painted black. The roof (not showing any particular three-dimensionality) is a golden brown. It may be thatch, but it is not stippled like some roofs in other scenes. [SW]
