This is a detail of the weapon Acolnahuatl carries in his right hand. It is a wooden club with rectangular black obsidian studs. This would have been called a macquahuitl (in Nahuatl) or a macana (in Spanish), although it is not named here. The wooden shaft is painted a yellowish brown. The arm, visible behind the club, is a pink flesh tone. [SW]
