This is a full page of text, on the back side of the first folio (1 verso) of eighteen folios, with no images. The text on this page is written directly on fig bark paper. A brown stain is visible in the binding, about half way down the page. We also see considerable wearing around the perimeter. The text here refers to the pueblo of Texcalucan, where St. Christopher is the patron. Also mentioned are some other place names or toponyms, Texcateticpac, among others. These were supposed to have been within the domain of Tlacopan (Tacuba) and Azcapotzalco, presumably in prehispanic times. There is also a reference to the viceroy, don Antonio de Mendoza.

Esta es una página completa de texto, en lado de atras del primero folio (1 verso) de dieciocho folios, y no tiene imágenes. El texto está escrito directamente en el papel de higuera (ficus). Hay una mancha visible en la encuadernación, en la mitad de la primer página. El texto hace referencia al pueblo de Texcalucan, donde San Cristóbal es Santo patrón. También aparecen mencionados otros nombres o topónimos como Texcateticpac, entre otros. Se supone que éstos estaban bajo la influencia o dominio de Tlacopan (Tacuba) y Azcapotzalco, presumiblemente en tiempos prehispánicos. También hay una referencia al virrey, don Antonio de Mendoza.

English Translation

[f. 1v.] ... our years are tied ... Xocohuetzi [a feast month] counts ... the day. Here in this altepetl called Texcalucan our precious father St. Christopher went to take charge [i.e. serve as patron] at Texcalucan [?], at the top of [?], at the bottom of the hill, [and] at Atlahuitec [?]. We belong to the great altepetl of Tacuba [and] Azcapotzalco. Today our lord(s?) came to arrive here and propose before the great lord ruler don Antonio de Mendoza so that [...they were given?] the houses of [?] the tlaxilacalli [?]..
