f. 17v., eagle and heart

f. 17v., eagle and heart

This detail shows the eagle standing atop the hill or mountain with its wings spread. It is outlined in black and painted brown. To the right we see the outline of a red heart. The eagle does not seem to play a role in the name of the place, but the heart is glyph-like, referenced in the Yolo- start of the toponym. [SW]
