f. 14r., hill with cacti
This scene on folio 14 recto shows five nopalli plants, most with their roots visible. The plants are painted green and stippled with black ink to indicate their spines. They grow atop and down the side of an undulating hilly or mountain landscape. The hill is painted a golden brown. The texts provide place names and claim that 800 mecatl (measuring cords) of land are located here, all pertaining to the people of the altepetl. [SW]
