This is a detail, appearing in Book V, folio 2 verso, of a tree or a tall bush, outlined in black and washed with a blue-green watercolor. Some of the roots are visible above the ground. The tree has three clumps of vegetation, and the leaves on these branches appear to be oval shaped. [SW]
