This page is the back side of the fourth folio of sixteen folios (also Book IV, folio 4 verso). A full page of text, no images, this text tells us how the land will make it possible for the commoners to raise what they need for tributes for their “great ruler” (presumably, the king of Spain or the viceroy, his representative). All the town’s land will appear in these pages and be known eternally. People are to know that they are well established, and will raise future generations. They will rely upon this land document, this town document. [SW]

Esta página es la carta posterio de cuatro de dieciséis folios. Una página completa de texto, sin imágenes, nos cuenta como la tierra dará todos los frutos necesarios para que los campesinos puedan pagar sus tributos para el soberano (presumiblemente el Rey de España o el Virrey, su representante colonial). Todos los terrenos de la ciudad aparecerán en estas páginas y se conocerán eternamente. De este modo, las personas sabrán que están establecidas y pueden engendrar generaciones futuras. Ellos confían en este documento de la tierra, este documento de la ciudad.

[IV, f. 4v.] Ellos serán ayudados (?) Ellos tendrán que producir, ellos tendrán que pagar los tributos de nuestro gran gorbernante (soberano). Todas las propiedades del pueblo están apareciendo, aparecen [¿pictóricamente?]. Por esta razón, eternamente de esta manera, se sabrá como que ellos [el pueblo] deben ser establecidos, como ellos deben ver la luz. Ellos tendran que examinar este documento de la tierras, el pueblo [documento] para siempre.........todo aquí....

English Translation

[IV, f. 4v.] They will be helped(?). So that they are to produce, they are to pay the tributes of our great ruler. For all the property of the altepetl is appearing, it appears [pictorially?]. So for this reason, eternally in this way, it will be known how they [the altepetl] are to be established, how they are to see the light. They are to look into this land document, altepetl [document] forever,............. all here ....
