This is a detail of the text on the front face of the first folio of sixteen folios (also Book IV, folio 1 recto). This text, written in Nahuatl in black ink, identifies the place called Ycçotepec, where the citizens of the altepetl (or town, presumably Iztacapan) own land. This land measures two tzontli (2 x 400, or 800) mecatl (cords), a measure of land in this vicinity. [SW]

Este es un detalle del texto en la cara frontal del primero de dieciséis folios. (tambien Libro IV, folio 1 recto). Este texto, escrito en Nahuatl con tinta negra, identifica este lugar como Ycçotepec, donde los ciudadanos de altepetl (presumiblemente de Iztacapan) eran dueños de las tierras que se extendian tres cuentas de cordeles. La extensión de tierra es de dos tzontli (2 por 400, o 800 mecatl).
