This is a detail, appearing in Book VII, folio 1 verso, of the head of an indigenous woman or man, unnamed. She/he is outlined in black ink, her/his shoulder-length hair is painted black. We can see most of her/his face, including two eyebrows, two eyes, a nose, and a mouth. There is a hint of a mustache above the mouth, which throws the gender of this figure into question. Her/his skin is painted with a faded flesh-tone watercolor. [SW]

Detalle de la cabeza de una mujer u hombre indígena, anónimo. Está delineado en tinta negra, y tiene el pelo negro a la altura de los hombros. Podemos ver la mayor parte de su cara, incluyendo sus cejas, dos ojos, la nariz y la boca. Hay una especie de bigote por encima de la boca, lo que poe en duda el sexo de éste individuo. La piel está pintada al tono con acuerelas algo descoloridas.
