This is a detail, appearing in Book V, folio 1 recto, of a tree (or bush), outlined in black and washed with a green watercolor, with three clumps of branches and oval-shaped leaves. Unlike some of the other trees in this manuscript, the roots are not visible above the ground. [SW]
