This is a detail, appearing in Book IV, folio 2 verso, of a bare-chested indigenous man who has long black hair that reaches well below his shoulders. He also has a mustache and apparently a short beard. Facial hair was more common after contact with Europeans, but this may not be remembered at the time of the composition of this painting, in late Spanish-colonial times. [SW]

Este es un detalle de un hombre indígena con el pecho descubierto, y pelo negro sobrepasando los hombros. Tambien tiene un bigote y aparentemente una pequeña barba. El bello facial fue más común después del contacto con los europeos, pero tal vez este dato pero esto tal vez no se tuvo en cuenta al momento de la composición de esta pintura en a finales del período colonial español.
