This is a full page of text, folio 3 recto, no images. The text on this page is written directly on the fig bark paper. There is a dark brown stain in the middle of the page. The text relates to an assembly of the citizens and rulers of the town of San Juan Tolquauhyocan (Tolcayuca, today) to view the town boundaries and see about the cessation of tribute paying to the Spanish king. The text also refers to don Hernando Alvarado Tezozomoc.

Ellos se fueron(?) a investigar, y establecieron los linderos. Porque eternamente, ellos necesitaran hablar acerca de como nuestro altepetl se fundó, en el altepetl llamado San Juan Tolquahyocan. Por esto, el documento de cabecera siempre sera vålido. Y todo los señores, hijos de los mayores (o antiguos), [quien?] vinieron a establecer los linderos para ellos, [es?] donde nuestras tierras de tributos empiezan y terminan que nuestro señor el rey en Castilla hizo nuestra herencia. Pues los gobernantes (vinieron) a hacer nuestra herencia, junto con don Hernando Alvarado Tezozomoc.

They went(?) to investigate, and they established the borders. Because eternally they are to speak about how our altepetl was founded, here in the altepetl called San Juan Tolquauhyocan. For this cabecera document will always be valid. And all the lords, children of the elders (or ancients), [who?] came to establish the borders for them, [is?] where our tribute land begins and ends that our great ruler the king in Castile made our inheritance.
