Although they lived their lives in the pre-Hispanic period, this is the first generation to be mentioned in administrative documents from after the conquest. From here on the lineage of Tilantongo can be followed in colonial alphabetic texts. This situation allowed Alfonso Caso to firmly connect the Mapa de Teozacualco with the Mixteca.
