parcel

This is a detail from the cadastral section. This parcel has an unusual shape. The Spanish text along the bottom dimension, just before the measurement, seems to indicate that the long, narrow portion at the bottom may belong to the “macehuales” (indigenous commoners). The rest would therefore pertain to an indigenous noble. The top measurement appears to be measured in omitl (bones) and the upper right portion with yollotli (hearts). [SW]
