grafted orchards, parcels, and placenames

This scene shows a number of different fruit orchards in different communities. The highest branches appear to be grafted onto the trunks of native trees. Counting symbols indicate that some individual trees may represent larger orchards. Trapezoidal land parcels with very specific measurements appear along the right edge of this detail. Along the left edge of this detail we see place glyphs, i.e. hieroglyphs that spell out the names of certain toponyms or indigenous communities. [SW]
