Plate 6, tributes
This plate shows the number of warriors that were summoned for the expedition of conquest into Nueva Galicia that was being organized by Nuño de Guzmán and the Huexotzincan lord, don Tomé. It also shows tributes in cloth that probably would have been used to purchase food and other necessities on the expedition. The building in the corner (surrounded on two sides by dots) may be a date (11 House), possibly the date of departure of the expedition. The date 11 House pertains to a pre-Hispanic calendrical system. [SW]
