The large banner or flag shown in this detail was meant to be given to the Huexotzincan lord, don Tomé. He would carry it in the conquering expedition into Nueva Galicia. The cost of this banner, indicated next to it, was 10 loads of small mantles (with 20 mantles per load). [SW]
