This is a detail, in the top scene on the double register with the number 1, showing some of the faint text in the upper left corner of this scene. Unlike the text on double register 4, this text has not been reinforced. It is practically illegible, but one can make out “tepexoxucan” (the town name) in the top line and “xan palacisco” (San Francisco, the patron saint’s name) in the bottom line. [SW]
